Double up on your display space with this unusual upside-down shelf. Start with a wooden board and a length of elastic. Attach the elastic to the board as shown using a staple gun. Using a book, measure the amount of elastic you will need to go around the book and staple it down next to the first staple. Continue measuring the elastic around books and stapling it to the shelf until you reach the other end of the board. Attach mounting brackets to the other side of the board and attach it to the wall with the elastic hanging down. Now you can store books hanging off the bottom of the shelf and décor items on top of the shelf. It’s a double duty shelf that is extra fun.
