The Unique Chateau les Merles by Joris Grinsven

This is Chateau les Merles, an impressive and imposing structure that dates back to the 19th century. The chateau has been restored by the current owners. During the process they tried to stick closely to the original architecture and to preserve the unique décor and most of the architectural details that made this place unique.

The chateau has been redecorated by renowned Dutch designer Joris van Grinsven who spent a long period of time traveling on his sailing yacht. After seven years of worldwide voyages he decided to start working with his children. E wanted to settle down and to start working in a pleasant environment and during a trip to France he and his wife encountered Les Merles. They immediately realized this is where they want to work. It was exactly what they were looking for. It had a golf course, a hotel and plenty of space to develop what today is Chateau Les Merles.

The team worked on this project for a long period of time. They restored and redecorated private homes, hotels, restaurants and businesses throughout Europe but this project really marked their business experience. For the furniture and the accessories the designer worked exclusively with the Pigeon d’Or collection. The results were spectacular and you see them yourself in the pictures. Chateau les Merles is now a modern and dramatic place.{found on kikette-interiors.}
