Creative striped flooring patterns

The floor is just as important as the walls. Just because you walk on it, this doesn’t make it any less interesting. Usually, the floor is very simple. It’s either concrete or covered with tiles or wood. There’s not much you can change about that. However, what you can do is come up with a creative pattern. You can use your imagination to come up with something new and original or you can use the pictures as inspiration.

There are lots of ways to get an interesting and eye-catching floor pattern. One of them includes stripes. You can go with the classic two-color combination and alternate two contrasting shades of color. It’s easy when you have wooden floors where the stripes are already delimitated. If not, you can use tape to obtain the same effect. Moreover, you can use multiple colors to create an even more colorful pattern. You can alternate similar shades of the same color and a neutral tone such as white.

Another idea is to use stencils and paint different pattern on the floor. You can use contrasting colors for the background and the pattern or you go with something less striking, like the combination of white and yellow from the pictures. It might take a lot of time to complete the project, but the result will be amazing.

If you prefer something more abstract, you can choose to create some random geometrical shapes. You can alternate them and use different colors. You can use a stencil or a specific pattern but you can also feel free to improvise. If you’re aiming for a striking and abstract result, this is the way to do it.{picture sources:1,2,3,4,5}.
