A rustic, market-style stand for storing fruit is a great addition to any kitchen. It’s on-trend and stylish – and it keeps fresh fruits and vegetables handy when you are cooking or want a snack. For this project you’ll need wood pieces of specific sizes, as shown, along with a drill, jig saw, screws and wood stain. Screw the pieces of wood together as shown to form the boxes. Make three of them. Next, line up the side plank with one of the boxes as shown, mark it and cut off the excess piece. Stain these boxes along with the remaining pieces of wood in your desired color. Once the stain is dry, attach the small pieces to the longer plank – these will serve as feet. Then, drill and screw the side support plank to the boxes as demonstrated. Flip the unit over and repeat for the other side. You’re ready to add fruit and enjoy your creation.
