DIY Union Jack Headboard

Years a go the walls of a house were full of paintings, pictures of he family or family paintings and even carpets. Now all these items disappeared as they are not fashionable anymore. People prefer empty walls in order to get the idea of more space and light. Still, sometimes a place may need a focal point and this thing may be an item that covers a wall of a room.

Thus, Carmel presents you something really nice which proved to be useful, cheap and space saving for her son’s bedroom. It is a DIY project which shows how you can create a DIY Union Jack Headboard using a pegboard. The pegboard was chose for the fact that can be painted, is cheap and the holes help you hang different objects which can take of your precious space. So, Carmel brought some color into her son’s bedroom, painting the pegboard with a Union Jack image. Then she added some baskets where she put some books and clipped on some tiny lamps.

The process is not complicated but some materials were needed, like: three boards, some pre-primed wood trim, anchors, a foam roller, a hand saw, some white paint and a foam brush. Painting the three boards took a little bit longer but the DIY Union Jack Headboard looked wonderful in the end. Nothing can compare with the Carmel’s joy of offering her son a really nice place where he can read and relax just in time for his birthday! Her effort, work and time are compensated by her son’s happiness and the fact that he can have his own place where he can put his books and other items that he needs near his bed.{found on ourfifthhouse}.
