The house sits on a narrow plot in the center of the village of Boundry and it’s surrounded by houses, a church and an old mansion. The house is a rather unusual presence in that area, with its contemporary design and imposing structure. It’s a residence that was designed to favor intimacy so it has a compact structure with rather small windows on the front façade. The public spaces are widely opened on one side in order to benefit from the natural light and the environment.

The residence features 3 levels and the rooms are functionally divided among these areas. The ground floor includes a rental apartment with direct access to the garden. The entrance hall of the apartment also connects to the bedroom’s hall and to a staircase that leads to the attic. This area is a day zone. On the south side there’s the dining room and a terrace. Because the façade of the villa has different heights, this allows the owners to hide behind these walls and to enjoy intimacy and serenity.{found on archdaiy and pics by Thomas Jantscher}
