The City Circus hostel from Athens

City Circus is a hostel from Athens, Greece that was once known for accommodating students coming on holidays. Since then it changed it profile and now addresses to a different kind of clientele, with more refined tastes.

The hostel now addresses to adventurous travelers in search for a cozy place to spend their holidays and vacations. Architecturally-speaking, it’s not as imposing and eye-catching as expected. It features a pale yellow exterior and it was originally a 100-year old mansion. It was converted into a hotel, restored and restructured. It offers 25 rooms on four levels. Because it was such as old and valuable building, most of the original architectural details were preserved, as a testimony to its rich history.

These details include elements such as the frescoed ceilings from the dining area and lounge as well as the iron balconies and baroque tiles. Even though it doesn’t offer the highest standards in terms of quality and luxury, the City Circus hostel pays great attention to details and tried to make its guests feel as comfortable as possible.

Overall, it has a minimalist interior design. The room feature bright green blankets, baroque mirrors, reclaimed and vintage furniture and beautiful artwork. It’s a modest destination but an inviting and friendly place to spend the holidays. The guests also have the opportunity to visit and explore the surroundings and to have an unforgettable experience.{found on yatzer}.
