For example, here’s a bat garland. It’s not very difficult to make but you need plenty of time and patience. You’ll also need cardstock, a printer or a pen, scissors, a 1/16’’ hole punch plus wire and wire cutters. First print or sketch the bat silhouette and then cut enough bats to make the garland.

This one is a more original idea. It’s a garland made out of pages from old books. To make one you need some old book pages cut into 2’’ circles, paper doilies 4’’ in diameter, jute or twine, double sided tape and a spider stamp or any other Halloween-themed stamp. Cut the pages and tape the circles in the middle of the doilies. Then stamp the image or doodle it and color it with a marker.{found on gleefulpeacock}.

All you need for this project is some construction paper and a sewing machine. Here’s another bat garland but this time with a different design. These are felt bats and they can be cut according to a template. Then they need to be sewed together. After that you can hang your garland on the wall or on the porch, in a tree or anywhere else you want. Since the bats aren’t made of paper they are more resistant.{found on artfulparent}.

You’ll need ribbon, a screw driver, a bobby pin, acrylic black paint, a brush and a few small pumpkin decorations. First you need to paint the stems of the pumpkins. Since Halloween is mostly a holiday for the kids, you might as well get them involved in the decoration process. For example, ask them to make some illustrations and use them to make a garland. This is another very fun idea for a Halloween garland. The tiny Pacman ghosts are both spooky and friendly so they would be perfect for a Halloween decoration. First cut out the shape after you’ve printed them onto white paper. Lay the template onto some black cardboard and draw around it. Cut out the shapes and then add the eyes. Then use black thread to make the garland.{found on minieco}.

And since we started with a bat garland, we’re also going to finish in the same tone. This garland or banner is easy to make. You need some string, a stapler, a few buttons, some black/orange cardstock, glue and some pages from an old book. You can either choose to make bats or pumpkins. Cut out the shapes for the banner and then start making the bats. Attach them to the banner pieces and place a button in the center of each bat.{found on simpleasthatblog}.
