Beautifully 80 sqm Renovated Madrid Home

This is a very small home located in Madrid. I measures only 80 square meters and it belongs to Beatriz Silveira, owner of the Batik Interior decoration store. The home sits in the suburb of Pozuelo de Alarcón and renovating it was not as easy as expected. The fact that the owners already had knowledge in the domain of interior decoration was helpful. However, the dimensions were challenging. The living room has a bright and spacious look. It includes a large window, white walls and furniture that has been carefully chosen to add brightness to the room.

The most challenging room turned out to be the kitchen. Since the whole house was tiny, the kitchen had to be small too. This was an inconvenient for the owner who wanted something bright and airy. In order to make that happen, the kitchen had to be extended. The kitchen and the dining room have been combined and are part of the same space. The two areas are separated by a partial wall. The extension of the kitchen also allowed for the creation of a much brighter space with lots of natural light.

There are some strategic splashes of color that add a nice touch to the whole place. The rest of the rooms didn’t need major changes and they basically remained almost the same. However, the décor needed some improvements. The home had to have a uniform look throughout and the owner also wanted a bright and airy look. For that simple pieces were chosen, with straight lines and simple materials.{found on micasarevista}.
