Stylish Vietnam Apartment Renovated With Mirrors And Beautiful Copper Accents
The highlight of this beautiful apartment from Vietnam is the kitchen island which could sound a bit odd but makes perfect sense when you see it. The apartment was renovated by studio DaoHo in 2020. It’s situated at the top of a building near the center of the city with a glazed facade. That opens it up towards the busy but still beautiful surroundings and the owner wanted to take advantage of that. The new interior design also aims to rearrange the original floor plan of the apartment.
The renovation brought with it a series of changes in layout. Some of the interior walls were completely removed and some areas were relocated. The living room and part of the kitchen occupy the central area. The entrance hallway actually frames a portion of the kitchen island and that helps to gradually reveal this whole area in a really cool and pleasant way. Speaking of the island, it’s made with brushed copper which gives it an amazing look and turns it into a statement piece for this whole apartment.
The living room, kitchen and casual dining space are seamlessly combined into one big space. Each area has its own identity and unique palette of colors and finishes which is a really nice way of creating a visual distinction within a large space. When they opened up the apartment by removing some of the walls, the designers were left with support columns which had to stay in place. To better integrate them into the design they wrapped them in mirrors which creates the impression of more space and adds glamour to the space around them. The team also used glass dividers for the bedrooms to help them look and feel more spacious.
