Located in Praça Da RepĂşblica, in SĂŁo Paul, this small apartment has a lot of cool and inspiring design features specifically created to work perfectly with this particular layout and style. The apartment measures 50 square meters across and its rooms are pretty small so SuperLimĂŁo Studio, the designers in charge, had to be creative and to come up with unique ideas for how the furnishings interact with the layout and how everything contributes in the end to a welcoming, casual-looking and also fun environment. The use of open shelves immediately becomes apparent, seeing how they’re exploited in pretty much every room.

The living room opens onto a balcony, with full-height windows and sliding doors that let lots of sunlight inside and also create a sense of openness by visually extending the room. The designers looked for inspiration in other successful small house plans but also conducted their own survey meant to highlight the daily needs of someone living in such an apartment. The results led to certain space-efficient design choices and emphasized a desire for simplicity and practicality.
