The East and West Apartments are located in London, England, occupying the first floor of a former industrial warehouse in Ransome’s Dock. They were both designed by CLPD, an innovative studio established in 2012 which specializes in high-quality residential projects. Their goal is always to maximize the potential of a given space and to make the most of it.
Both apartments were furnished by Minacciolo, a completely eco-friendly company with more than 40 years of experience in creating elegant and luxurious Italian furniture. The company used their top of the range kitchen furniture from the Natural Skin collection.
The apartments have three bedrooms and measure almost 2,000 square feet each. They were renovated with premium materials and using a combination of industrial and organic. Today we’re going to have a closer look at the West Apartment and its exquisite interior.
The interior design is sumptuous and elegant, with a dose of understated masculinity. The building’s industrial and rich history also played an important role in the overall décor, influencing the apartment and infusing it with unique details.
Polished concrete floors define the apartment, linking the spaces and creating a cohesive feel throughout. They’re usually mixed with wood elements in order to also allow the spaces to feel warm and inviting. The wood also adds elegance to the space.
The kitchen is a semi-enclosed space. It’s spacious and partially open to the living area but, at the same time, it maintains a private character. The chocolate brown used here allows the kitchen to look elegant but to also feel comfortable. There’s always a blend of styles where old and new elements, rough and polished finishes work together to make this apartment unique.
The kitchen furniture was customized for the apartment in order to perfectly fit the space and to offer the users the functionality and elegance expected from the company. The L-shaped counter ends in a small bar.
Throughout the apartment, the designers incorporated eco-friendly materials such as Paperstone which is 100% recyclable. The tiles used in the bathrooms are also made from recycled materials. The honeycomb pattern used on the floor and the earthy color give the bathroom a particularly comfortable and pleasant look.
The golden accents and the white background are meant to be elegant and sophisticated details meant to highlight the apartment’s luxurious character. Similarly, the white and brown combination has the same effect.
The glass walk-in shower is meant to maintain a spacious and airy feel in the bathroom. In combination with the neutral and earthy tones, it also establishes a cohesive look throughout the apartment.
The designers used the best accessories on the market when renovating the apartment, their profound attention to detail being the key to the wonderful ambiance, the exquisite combination of colors, materials and textures and the way in which styles blend together seamlessly. A few yellow accents in the living room add cheer to the space. Colorful artwork makes the lounge areas look dynamic and, at the same time, brings together all the unique elements used throughout the apartment.
