The upcoming year will see more brass being incorporated into the home. It’s a design element that has always been interesting and beautiful and that hasn’t been fully exploited until now. 2013 will bring this material into our attention and this way we’ll be able to discover its true beauty. Brass features don’t refer just to bathroom and kitchen fixtures but also to design and décor details and accents that can be included in any room of the house.
For the bathroom.
We’re going to start with the room that you probably first had in mind when we mentioned brass: the bathroom. Here it’s easy to see how this element would be incorporated. You could have beautiful brass fixtures for the tub or sink and, given the material’s natural properties, they would stand out regardless of the colors and materials used around them.
For the kitchen.
In the kitchen you can also use the same concept and opt for brass fixtures for the sink. But there are also plenty of other accent details that can be incorporated into a kitchen’s décor. For example, you could opt for some very beautiful and chic bar chairs or stools made of brass or even for a lovely brass chandelier or pendant lamp.
For the bedroom.
In the case of the bedroom, the options are rather limited. One option would be to choose a brass bed. Even though metal is not the most popular choice when it comes to bedroom furniture, brass doesn’t share the same properties as other similar materials. It’s an element that brings warmth and coziness into the room while also providing stability and strength. A brass bed frame and headboard with beautiful detailing would be a great choice for any bedroom.
Brass lighting fixtures.
Besides furniture and sink and tub fixtures, there’s also another element that gains in particular when made of brass. We’re talking about lighting fixtures. Brass pendant light, chandeliers and lamps are quite popular and they deserve to be given their simplicity and inner beauty. The upcoming year takes into the center of attention and allows them to showcase their true charm.
