A small attic apartment with beautiful skylights and modern furniture

An apartment is not necessarily defined by its surface. In fact, when a person refers to his or her apartment or home, the focus is not on the amount of space but rather on the way the place is furnished and on the atmosphere and décor. So a small apartment can be bright and spacious if the décor is chosen correctly. For example, take a look at this place.

This is a tiny apartment if you consider the actual surface. But it’s a calm, inviting and beautiful space and a very lovely home and this is what’s most important. The designers combined modern elements to make it feel airy. The walls are painted white throughout and the wooden floors have a light color. This makes the rooms look bright despite the size. Another interesting detail is related to the slanted walls typical to attic spaces. They tend to make a room feel smaller by reducing the space you can actually use.

The skylights and the light color of furniture contribute also to the idea of large space, creating a bright atmosphere. Everything is full of light and arranged in a simple way so that it is a created the illusion of a spacey, warm and bright place.

In this case, however, the shape of the walls was creatively used. Skylights were added and they let in lots of natural light at a very nice angle, thus illuminating the whole room. The skylights above the dining area are a very nice feature and the same thing can be said about the sitting area which is a cozy, intimate and relaxing space. To also emphasize the light and bright look of the apartment, white furniture was used throughout.
