This luxurious resort is situated in Indonesia, more exactly on a piece of tropical paradise called Pulau Joyo. This area has been deserted for years. Recently, a shipping mogul decided t build himself four driftwood palaces that he used as private residences. After a while, he decided to turn them into a luxurious resort, the new Pulau Joyo Resort.
It then became a luxurious retreat for those who want privacy and wish to experience this beautiful piece of paradise with style. The guests are treated like kings. They can seat of Louis Vuitton furniture pieces and they are able to experience a unique luxurious castaway adventure.
The resort also features a lot of hand crafted furniture from the local community. So it’s not an invasion of this space, but more like an adaptation and preservation. The project was conceived with maximum respect for the environment and the local landscape and community.
The guests can enjoy the stylish and comfortable bedrooms and they can also use the private beach that sits just a few meter away from the resort. They can also enjoy the luxury spa and kitchen, where fine chefs prepare 3 course meals. The guest can also taste the unique wine collection.
Two of the palaces are called Java Rembang and Java Juwana and are traditional Java joglos which have been dismantled and re-assembled on the island. Overall, this is a unique and very luxurious retreat where everyone is treated like kings and queens and where the guests can have a taste of the traditional culture and traditions, while still being able to enjoy the comfort of the stylish palaces.
