There is a perfect mix between contemporary and traditional making a beautiful marriage. The most obvious Wilhelminian elements of decor in this apartment are the huge size of the rooms and the stucco elements on the ceiling. They look very well, but they seem like some remnants from a long gone era – the era of emperor Wilhelm.

Also the big bathrooms with expensive and stylish tiles and the old fashioned wooden flooring in the whole apartments are some other features that bring a bit of the old times in the present. However, the brand new furniture and all the modern decorations and even the futuristic and crazy bubble armchair or the row of chairs linked to a metal bar bring the touch of present and make the whole design look unusual, but great.{Photographs: Adrian Schulz}
