The Lebbeke Apartment Building project by Weysen & De Baere Architects

Weysen & De Baere Architects have recently designed a new project. It’s the Lebbeke Apartment Building located in Flanders, Belgium. The building includes four units and an additional office on the ground floor. The project includes two structures staying back to back on the plot. Each has its own entrance from the street and each has its own design. Even though the two units are significantly different, they still look like a whole.

As you can see in the pictures, there’s not much space left on the plot. In fact, the two buildings almost look like Siamese twins. Because the constructions occupied most of the space, there wasn’t much room left for parking spaces. Cars can be parked along both streets but this wasn’t an acceptable solution. To solve that problem, the plinth was cut to make some extra space.

Three of the apartments are situated on top of a commercial plinth. In the other building, a duplex apartment will be created. As for the interior of the apartments, there’s not much to say about it. The apartments are simple, functionally structures and they feature modern interior designs. The walls are usually white and the rest is minimalist and somewhat formal. The location of the buildings is not ideal but it’s pretty convenient as it is close to shops and everything else.{found on archdaily}.
