Renovated duplex apartment in Madrid

This duplex is located in Madrid and it has been recently renovated. The main changes have been made to the top floor. The entire place has been modernized but the spirit of practicality and creativity has been preserved intact. As you enter, the hall has been painted in an intense tone or dark brown, almost a chocolate tone. This created a strong contrast with the rest of the apartment. On the wall, there’s a painting by Alexandre Arrechea that comes from the gallery Santapau Married.

The place is filled with natural light, coming from the large windows and emphasized by the interior décor. The wool carpet and the comfy furniture create a very warm and inviting atmosphere. The velvet sofas are designed by Maria Lladó and upholstered by Angel Briceño. The same for the coffee tables. The interior is both colorful, modern and cozy.

A reading corner has been designed. It was meant as a quiet getaway, a place where it can be just you and your thoughts. There’s a comfy chaise longue, a cow-skin rug, a stool and fiberglass side table. The dining room has an oval table with a white lacquered finish and surrounded by Carina Casanovas chairs.

A very interesting detail that I noticed were the colorful tiles used in some areas. They are bright and bring some color into the décor. Under the stairwell there’s a small office with just a desk, a chair and a carpet. The entire place is very beautifully designed and each room is different from the others. This gives them personality and creates a unique atmosphere in every room.{found on nuevo-estilo}
