Each designer has a unique style. It’s true that there are limitations in terms of what a designer can use as inspiration but the way each person combines these elements is always unique and this is that designer’s style. An interior designer will often leave his/her mark on a project and, if given total liberty, will make that project a representation of his/her own vision on what that space should look like.
In the case of the Nanfung Developments project, we can fairly say that the result is a faithful representation and even a synonym of the designer’s style. The project was completed in 2013 in Hong Kong by British interior designer Kelly Hoppen. It included the design of two luxury apartments. As you can see, each of the two apartments has a very different interior design. Still, they all share in common the elegance, beauty and sophistication of the décor.
Of the apartments has a very chic living room with a stylish coffee table which was also a creation of the designer. This piece, in combination with the black ottomans, the organic log side table and the black wood and silver studs results in a stunning visual impact. Also, the chandeliers in this living room are just amazing.
As the designer has declared, the idea for this project was to create a fusion where East meets West and to create two distinct styles. But both apartments are stunning and, more important than that, they also have functional and practical interior designs. They’re perfect examples of how function can meet style.
The designer relied on a neutral color palette for both apartments and the result was a textural design that’s modern but that also has that timeless beauty that only few designers can create. The black floors, which both apartments share in common, add drama to the décor but also maintain a simple look.
