In theory, some things should be very different from how they actually are. For example, an apartment that’s as small as this one should not feel spacious and airy but should feel tiny. But, as it turns out, theory is sometimes misleading. This apartment is located in Taiwan and it’s one of the smallest places one could find.
However, you would be surprised to see how beautiful it looks like inside. The apartment was designed by WCH Interior and it’s a wonderful example that shows us how important it is to organize your space and to find the right style. In the case of small spaces such as this one, it’s best to keep things simple. This means a modern and simple design, with no unnecessary elements. The furniture should only include the strictly necessary elements.
In the case of this tiny apartment, the living area, which is in fact a multipurpose space, features a beautiful grey sofa and a wall-mounted TV on the opposite wall. The sofa is placed against the windows which let in plenty of natural light while also offering nice views over the city and surroundings.
Next to the sofa is the bed. It’s positioned in such a way that it lets the users comfortably watch the TV and it’s in the corner of the room which gives it a little more privacy making it seem less exposed. In the room, to the other side of the sofa, there’s a space that could be used as a work station. This would make the room a living space, a bedroom and an office.
It’s not easy to combine all these functions and to make the room feel inviting and comfortable. In this case, the décor is very nicely balanced. The color palette is restraint and features mostly neutral shades. The wood-paneled wall adds warmth and texture to the décor and it also matches the floor.
