The first important event of the year just ended on January 24th. It was the Maison&Objet even, held in Paris and thanks again to Ayna Gershman for these beautiful pictures. There, designers from all over the world have presented their ideas and new directions in terms of interior design. The list of top designers for 2012 shows four names: Tokujin Yoshioka from Japan, the Humberto and Fernando Campana brithers from Brasil and Hubert le Gal from France.
If you want to take a look at last year’s edition you can check out our article on the theme. This year’s tendencies have been presented in correlation with the main theme of this event: folly. Hundreds of designers exposed their creations from all over the world and at the end some important lines have been created in terms of directions to follow in the domain.
Just to satisfy your curiosity a little, here are some of the main key-elements from the event: strong colors, individualism, new interpretations of the old. A tendency of going back to the origins has been registered. Nowadays designers tend to use emotion more than ever.
They create personalized designs that help us find the inner equilibrium that we all need and they try to make us feel unique.
Another important element is the eco approach. People try to protect the environment as much as they can and this is visible in all the domains, including interior design. As for the colors, this year’s tendencies vary from bleu to turquoise, violet and green, silver and gold. In 2012 a beautiful house is not necessarily the equivalent of “rich”.
Beautiful interior designs are now possible with a small budget. They key is to be creative and to let the imagination do the work for you. The next important event of the year will be the International Furniture Salon from Milan (from April 17 to April 22), Euroexpofurniture Moscow (April 24-27) and Pulse Home 2012 in London (June 10-12).
