Collectors are particularly interesting people that have a unique inclination towards a certain domain. But when it comes to their homes, those are quite difficult to decorate. It’s mostly because collectors are focused on a domain and the interior designs need to find a way to incorporate both their passion and interests and their collections in a unique décor.Found on Yatzer, this is the home of Pil Marques. He’s a Brazilian DJ and a collector. This house is located in São Paulo, Brazil. It was decorated by Brazilian architect Guilherme Torres and his colleagues.
The team initially thought it would be easy to organize the collections and adapt them to the needs of the inhabitants. It should have been easy. Having concrete objects as inspiration is a great starting point. However, it gets difficult when you realize how complex the situation is in reality.
The owner had hundreds of vintage toys, vinyl records and art pieces. Finding the right furniture to house all those elements wasn’t easy. In such cases the attention to details is also very important. The house has a spacious living room that was originally painted in white. It has been turned into a lovely space featuring tones of blue. There you can see the owner’s art.
The designers added several new elements such as the sheepskin rug, the large sofa or the black shelves. The living room also shares the space with the kitchen that was painted pink. That area features several unique pieces from the owner’s collection too such as penguins, clowns, rabbits and some action figures. Overall there’s a very playful atmosphere throughout the house and the interior design is original and eye-catching.
