Dark warehouse turned into a lovely bright space unsing pallets

This is a subject that we’ve treated several times in our articles over the years. Yet it’s such as complex area that there’s always something new to say about it. Today we’re going to focus on a particular project. It’s the renovation and makeover of an office warehouse in Brazil. It’s the office of a sports marketing company. The project was developed by Simone Tasca.

Even though it’s a warehouse, there are some small spaces that caught our attention. For example, let’s take a look at the lounge area. It might seem airy and spacious now but it wasn’t always like this. The designer had the lever idea to focus on comfort and she created this unconventional décor. She used pallets that she painted white in order to create a multi-level lounge space. It’s a very comfortable space able to accommodate three times more persons that a regular sofa. The TV was hung on the opposite walls. The rest of the décor is very simple.

There’s also a dining area. It has an expandable dining table. This piece was created using two tables and casters. The legs of one of them were cut a little shorter so it can be rolled under the other, forming a nesting table set. It’s a clever idea and a space-saving design.

Finally, let’s also take a look at the bathroom. It features a wall covered with many mirrors. This is a simple trick for creating the impression of a larger space and for opening up an area. The overall décor of this office is industrial and modern at the same. The rooms are chic but minimalist and the accent is on functionality and comfort.{found on treehugger}.
