Charming home in Madrid with dynamic touches of color and pattern

The key for a harmonious interior décor is balance. We’re referring here to everything, not just the colors. The décor needs to feel harmonious and balanced and for that everything has to be in sync. In the case of this beautiful home, for example, we can see that there’s a cohesive décor throughout. The color palette has been kept the same in all the rooms. It includes shades of sandy beige, grey and brown and the colors often contrast and create visual focal points.

Also, notice that there are bursts of color in all the spaces. It’s either in the form of artwork or other accent details. This home has many beautiful features. It’s a space that’s at the limit between old and new. It has some charming features such as the moldings and some vintage doors that have been reintegrated into a modern design.

The pine floors add warmth and texture to the décor and they also create continuity from one room to another. But the warm and inviting atmosphere also comes from the use of other elements such as the carpets, the wall coverings and all the soft and warm lighting. All these features contribute to an overall very inviting atmosphere.

There’s also a continuous combination of old and new. For example, you can see that the table from the living room and the artwork are modern while the zebra chairs and the golden lamp are elements that have the charm of the ‘60s. This nice balance of styles, of old and new can been seen in all the rooms.

The kitchen has an overall modern look because of all the stainless steel appliances but, at the same time, it looks elegant and has a classical charm because of the wood. The kitchen is connected to the dining room and to the living area and hall. It has moldings on the ceilings just like all the other rooms.{found on nuevo-estilo}.
