475 square meters residence by RS + Robert Skitek

This contemporary residence is located near the old town of Cracow in Poland. It’s a beautiful home with an impressive modern design. It was a project by RS + Robert Skitek architects who worked with PROBEX Marian Urbanik for the structure. The construction of the house was completed in 2011. The building covers a project area of 475 square meters.

It’s a lovely home and it’s located in a lovely area, in a calm district, surrounded by beautiful houses. It also benefits from beautiful views of Wawel and the mountains. The views actually played an important role in the design of the house. The client requested that the houses should be as high as possible in order to benefit as much as possible from the views of the mountains and the surrounding landscape. Another request was that the spatial relation between the floors would be preserved with openings as large as possible of the space.

Not only that the house has an impressible and imposing look, but it also stays on the highest point of the street so it would be impossible not to notice it. The design of this residence is best described as smooth, clean and beautiful geometrical lines. Inside, the top floor houses a shared space that offers beautiful views while the lower floor is divided in separate sleeping areas for the parents and the children. The main living area in on the ground floor and the guest rooms and the garage at the basement level.{found on archdaily and pics by Tomasz Zakrzewski }
