The ‘Conversation’ sectional sofa by Giorgio Soressi

The sofa or, depending on the case, the sectional, plays a critical role in any living room. It is the pieces around which it is centered the entire décor of the room. The sofa or sectional’s main role should be to encourage social interaction and to instigate to conversation. Starting from this premise, designer Giorgio Soressi has created the “Conversation” sectional sofa.

As its name suggests, this piece is ideal for living rooms or any other spaces designed to be used for social activities, where family members can spend time together and interact with each other and where the guests are received. The sectional sofa was designed for Erba Italia. Is has a strong and durable frame made of solid wood and multilayer wood and features a springing system with elastic webbing, padded with non-deformable polyurethane foam which ensures an enhanced level of comfort.

“Conversation” has elements from both a sofa and a sectional and they were joined together in an effort to take the best of both and to create a new and innovative piece of furniture that would be versatile and that would fit in most living rooms. It’s also available in several models, sizes and shapes. The sectional sofa is covered with Dacron Du Pont and has non-visible feet. The back metal frame is also padded with non-deformable polyurethane foam and it’s covered with polyester fiber and velveteen. The back cushion is 100% cotton-fabric and it’s filled with a mix made of 70% goose feather and 30% polyester fiber. The covers are available in fabric or leather and they are removable.
