When you work with children or for children, I mean when you make things that are meant to be used by the, you should start thinking like a child because otherwise you will have no chance. When you work with them you must learn how to play and sit on tiny chairs in order to let them have direct access to your eyes. When you design kids furniture you must try to think like a child and see what will make them happy and what they would prefer and solve every problem. First of all children like all the things around them to look like animals or cartoon characters. Obviously, the designer of these chairs knows that , as all of them look like tiny kittens and dogs. Then they must be colourful. Check.
They must not be heavy because the children need to move them in different corners of the room. Check. Must be simple enough to let their imagination go wild and easy to use. Check and check.
