Cozy home in a garage transformation

For most of us, the garage is like a home for our cars. However, some people get more creative. Seattle-based artist, designer, and welder Michelle de la Vega decided to turn this garage into a lovely and very practical little house. It was a 250 square foot garage and she managed to turn it into a cozy and inviting mini home.

Because it was a small and unconventional space, most of the furniture had to be custom made for this new house. Some of them were salvaged by Michelle or repurposed. It was obvious that this is not a simple or common project. Unusual methods and ideas had to be used and it all started with the decision to turn the garage into a home.

The designer did a great job decorating the place. Despite its small dimensions, the garage, which is now a house, looks surprisingly spacious. It’s a very cozy and comfortable space and it even has a fireplace. It was an impressive transformation and it seems like a great solution for those who need some extra living space.

The interior is not particularly impressive. It’s a combination of old and new and it represents the history of the house, once a garage. Inside there are all the essentials, nothing more but nothing less either. It’s a small but chic and smart house.
