The delicate, fluid lines of the Sylvester lounge chair offered by Cattelan Italia

Lounge chairs are practically forced by their generic name to have lean shapes and curvaceous lines. They need to follow the user’s body lines in order to offer comfort and to allow him/her to relax and to lounge by the book. The Sylvester lounge chair does that with style. It takes the notions of comfort and style to a new level. It’s interesting that a contrast forms. The Sylvester lounge chair has been reduced to its pure form.

The lines are simple and the upholstery follows them closely and delicately. But, at the same time, this extreme simplicity enhances its style, beauty and elegance. So by giving up all unnecessary elements and reducing the design to a minimalist, pure form, the designer actually managed to take it to a whole new level. The Sylvester chaise longue was designed by Leonardo Dainelli for Cattelan Italia.

It’s an S-shaped lounge chair, probably the reason why its name also starts with a strong S. It’s overall dimensions are w:700 d:2000 h:700mm and its stylish design allows it to be used indoors but also in outdoor spaces as long as they’re protected and covered. The Sylvester lounge chair is covered in soft, Italian leather. It features a roll top for extra comfort and curved linear stitched detailing. It’s crafted with a chromed frame for support and stability.
