Take The Time To Build Cat Shelves: Fun For Both You And Your Pet

Everybody knows that cats like to climb on things. They enjoy the occasional time spent in a tree if it’s an outdoor cat but, most often, they like to climb the furniture and to sit on shelves. Cats are very curious and like to explore. It’s why they always seem to be attracted by everything that’s new. They also like their privacy so they enjoy having a space of their own. Of course, cats also love to play. So why not make your cat happy and combine all the activities she/he likes in a project that you’ll also love.

Build your cat a little stairway on which it can easily climb

We’re talking about shelves which are designed particularly for the cats. They are usually placed in any free space in the house or they get mixed with the furniture. There are numerous options to explore.

Put up some shelves at different heights and a larger one on which the cat can rest

For example, you could create something interesting and fun for the cat that’s also space-effective for your home by mounting a series of shelves that go all the way up above the door. I’m sure the cat(s) would love to climb there and just analyze everything and everyone in the room without being noticed.

These shelves can be placed anywhere there’s some free space. For example, you could put them in the living room where you usually spend most of your time and where the cat usually stays as well. But if you want the living room to remain elegant and to not interfere with its interior décor, you can make some shelves for the cat in your home office or in the bedroom. Also, a nice idea would be to use the space on the hallway since it’s usually empty anyway.
