Where Geometry Meets Landscape in São Paulo’s Countryside

Casa da Baro, designed by Passarelli Arquitetos, is a residence that redefines balance—both in structure and in spirit. Located in a gated leisure community in Bragança Paulista, the house embraces the natural contours of the land like a set of wings gliding over the hillside.

From above, the home unfolds as a clean, horizontal composition, defined by long straight lines and bold eaves that provide shade and privacy without sacrificing openness.

The staircase is perhaps the home’s most iconic architectural gesture. Floating in mid-air, its sculptural presence acts as a central axis—uniting floors, functions, and flows. A round concave swimming pool challenges the orthogonal nature of the house, its curved form softened further by a gentle sunken profile, echoing the slope of the terrain. Every surface, including the pool’s interior, is clad in travertine, creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor zones.

Landscape architect Alex Hanazaki’s design complements the house without competing. Native vegetation merges with minimalist hardscape to create visual rhythm, while the interior—filled with Brazilian design icons and contemporary art—grounds the architecture with culture and personality. Casa da Baro isn’t just a weekend home; it’s a complete spatial experience shaped by maturity, restraint, and vision.
