Architect Richard Rogers of Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners designed the tower, which was part of the original World Trade Center plan by Daniel Libeskind.

With 2.5 million square feet of space, each of the 80 stories has 30,000 to 70,000 square foot of floor. Ceiling heights range from 13.5 feet to 24 feet. All the floors have a 360-degree view across Manhattan.
At its base, 3 World Trade Center has five levels of retail space. In addition to the ground floor, there are two floor above ground and another two below.
The skyscraper has 44 passenger elevators in the main part of the tower and an additional five freight elevators. The lower floors have eight separate elevators.
Construction Delays
Although developers broke ground in 2010, construction did not start until 2014. The lack of an anchor tenant for the building forced the delay.
The skyscraper topped out in 2016 and opened in 2018.

With so many workers in World Trade Center 3 along with the nearby One World Tade Center, direct access to public transportation from the building is key.
Workers and visitors at 175 Greenwich Street have direct access to 12 subway lines and the PATH trains that go to New Jersey. Even better, the design protects access from the weather. Other transport is nearby too, including ferries, water taxis and two new train stations.
