The mattress starts out with a cover that’s constructed with both cotton and an eco-friendly material called Tencel that provides both breathability and softness. Memory foam gel is also quilted into the cover to provide comfort while keeping you cool.

Right after the cover, there’s a comfort layer with three inches of memory foam. This provides that slow sink-in feeling that memory foam lovers enjoy. It’ll not only contour to your body, it’ll also provide some excellent pressure relief. Then, you have the transitional layer that’s made with another layer of memory foam. This is meant to help transition you from the softer memory foam to the harder foundation layer below.

Where it’s Made

There was recently some debate as to where the Nectar mattresses were made. However, there seems to be a consensus now that the Nectar mattress is made in China. While the mattress is made there, the company itself is American.

Special Features

To start off, the Nectar mattress comes with a cooling cover that’s made of Tencel material. Not only is this great for individuals that aren’t a fan of the stuffiness that usually comes with memory foam, it’s also a preventive measure for pesky bedbugs. The gel-quilting foam within the cover also provides some added comfort and easily conforms to your body.

Another thing is that memory foam mattresses usually provide a soft sink-in feeling without adequate support. With the Nectar mattress however, there’s Hi Core Adaptive foam within the mattress that helps contour properly to your pressure points. This premium adaptive foam is also great for heavier individuals as memory foam mattresses don’t usually provide adequate support.

Firmness Level

The Nectar mattress only comes in one firmness level and is about a six on the firmness scale. It has medium firmness and is relatively firm in comparison to other memory foam mattresses. While it does provide support, the mattress does also have thick memory foam layers that contour to your body while providing adequate sinkage.

Maintenance

With mattresses, you’ll need to provide it with adequate care to ensure that it’ll last for an extended period of time. With the Nectar mattress, it isn’t difficult to maintain, you’ll simply need to spot clean with either some lukewarm water or detergent. If you have any issues about getting your mattress dirty, you can always purchase a mattress cover to protect your mattress.

Sleep Trial

@kismet_house

The Nectar mattress comes with a year-long sleep trial period. That means you’ve got a whole year to sleep on the Nectar mattress before deciding if you’d like to keep the mattress. While most mattress companies only offer a couple of months, the Nectar Sleep company is being incredibly generous by offering the sleep trial for a whole year.

Warranty

Nectar mattresses come with a lifetime warranty. If you need to learn more about the warranty, you can easily pop on Nectar Sleep’s website or contact their customer service support. It’s also helpful to check out reviews on the Nectar mattress from current owners to have a better idea of what their experience is like.

The Rundown

Either way, you definitely won’t go wrong with either purchasing the Saatva or the Nectar mattress. Both mattresses have fantastic qualities and cater to different sleepers. If you’d like a mattress that has a firmer feel then you’d want to go for the Saatva mattress. It’s more of a traditional innerspring mattress in comparison to the Nectar mattress that’s constructed with memory foam. On the other hand, if you like the memory foam feeling with more support, the Nectar mattress is a great choice.
