Inside the Hollywood Hills House Shaped by Art, Movement, and Design

The Hollywood Hills House by Kristen Becker of Mutuus Studio sits above the city with a sharp mix of steel, glass, and warm materials. Designed for an actor–director couple, the home reflects the clients’ deep interest in art, design, and global objects. Large glazed walls frame the hillside, while the long roofline and exposed structural steel give the house a confident, expressive character.

Inside, Becker’s approach blends architectural discipline with an intuitive sense of movement. The interior rejects the typical order of living–dining–kitchen and instead flows as a continuous spatial sequence.

This living area stands out with its soaring steel structure, custom lighting, and dramatic suspended fireplace. Warm leather, wood tones, and curated furniture soften the industrial shell, creating a space that feels both artistic and lived-in.
