Make a wine bottle torch

You can recycle an empty wine bottle with a form you like or an unusual color or you can spray paint one to make it look more interesting. A very simple way to do that is by using tin cans. First clean the cans and fill them with water, then put them in the freezer. Take them out and use a hammer and a nail to punch holes and to make the design you want. Put candles inside and that’s all.{found on growcreative}.

Hang them on fence

This is a similar project but for this one you need mini mason jars or other small containers. You can use chain or wire for the handles. Punch two holes in the lid and attach the hanger. Screw the lid on and put the candle in.{found on jennifersmentionables}.

Cupcake lights

Want to make something cute? Then make cupcake lights for the backyard. You need cupcake tin liners and a strand of light bulbs. Cut a cross in the bottom of the liner, remove and bulb from the socket and slip the liner on.{found on cfabbridesigns}.

Create a lampshade effect

These are candle lampshades and they’re easy to make. You need sheets of vellum, scissors, decorative bladed scissors, a glue pen, wine glasses and candles. Find a lampshade pattern you like and trace it on the vellum sheet. Cut out the shape and punch holes evenly through the shade. Then use a glue pen and wrap the vellum to form a lampshade. Set it on top of a wine glass.

Hang a old chandelier globe in a tree

To make these hanging lights you need chain, jump rings and wire cutters. You’ll also need a globe from an old chandelier or light fixture. Attach the chain to the globe with a jump ring. Cut three pieces of chain the same size and attach them to the globe. Put a candle inside and hang it from a branch.{found on site}.

Baskets

You can also use a clam basket to make a hanging chandelier for the backyard or garden. Pad the bottom with moss and put pillar candles inside. Then hang the basket from a tree using wire or thread.

Another project you can make which also requires Christmas lights is this one. For this project you need beer bottles. You basically put them on the ground and bury them a little so they don’t fall. Mason jars and yarn

Make lanterns using mason jars and yarn. First clean the jars and remove the labels. Then wrap yarn around them in a pattern you like or at random. This hanging lantern is made of two wire planter baskets. You also need wire, spray paint, a light bulb, a pendant socket and garden twine. Spray paint the baskets. Twine ball garlands

Also, you can make twine ball garlands. You need twine, glue, cornflour, warm water, balloons and spray paint. Blow up the balloons and hang them from a pole or something.
