Our test left the treated grout cleaner, but the process also involved baking soda paste and repeated toothbrush scrubbing. More fizz does not mean more cleaning power.

Vinegar also isn’t suitable for every tiled surface. Acid can damage marble, limestone, travertine, and other acid-sensitive stone, while repeated acid exposure can affect cement-based grout.
