Skyview Residence Blends Tradition, Landscape, and Legacy in Jackson, Wyoming
Set on a 49-acre ridgeline lot overlooking the Teton Range, the Skyview Residence is a modern legacy home that reflects both family heritage and its dramatic natural surroundings. Designed by Eric Logan, Bryan James, and Forrest Britton, with interiors by Sarah Kennedy, Cynthia Tibbitts, Erica Hawley, and Brooke Peacock, the home balances traditional materiality with clean, contemporary lines.
Anchored into a hillside to meet local height restrictions, the residence unfolds along a north-south axis. An intimate entry courtyard transitions into expansive glass-lined living spaces that frame the landscape. The main level hosts the living, kitchen, and dining areas. A separate guesthouse includes its own living spaces and wellness amenities.
Materials tie the home to its surroundings: Montana stone continues indoors, paired with cedar ceilings, walnut floors, and blackened steel accents. Earthy tones like sage, ochre, and rust reflect the mountain landscape. A geothermal system and insulated envelope boost energy efficiency. Skyview is designed for longevity, grounded in craftsmanship and the natural site.
The kitchen combines dark stone, walnut wood, and blackened steel for a bold, modern look. A sculptural island anchors the space, while floor-to-ceiling glass floods it with natural light and views.
