Minimalist Milan Apartment Blends Brazilian Warmth with Italian Refinement
Designed by Brazilian architect Gabriela Casagrande, this 100m² Milan apartment reinterprets modern minimalism with tactile warmth and bespoke details.
Set near Porta Venezia, the space was reconfigured to create two suites and an open, fluid living area that connects the kitchen, dining, and lounge zones under a unified palette of light herringbone flooring and natural textures.
The kitchen’s white cabinetry introduces a clean, architectural base, enhanced by a subtle marble backsplash and a black faucet that punctuates the bright composition. This refined contrast gives the space a modern rhythm, balancing purity with graphic precision.
In the dining area, a LAGO Design Milano table stands out as the sculptural centerpiece, a solid wood top resting on transparent glass legs that make it appear weightless. The combination of material and visual lightness captures Casagrande’s design ethos: timeless elegance through natural textures, curated restraint, and quiet sophistication.
