A Lower Penthouse in Miami Where Tropical Roots Meet Refined Design
Perched on the 48th floor of The Ritz-Carlton Residences Sunny Isles Beach, this 465 m² (5,006 sq ft) lower penthouse designed by Jessica Jaegger blends Brazilian identity with sophisticated coastal living.
Created for a Rio de Janeiro–born tech entrepreneur and his wife, the residence was envisioned as a family retreat that celebrates both personal roots and the vibrant spirit of tropical modernism.
The design highlights natural materials such as white oak slatted ceilings, Santa Caterina travertine floors, and warm wood finishes, paired with stone, fibers, and bronze details. Expansive windows frame sweeping views of the Florida coastline, while the interiors balance neutral surfaces with vibrant accents.
Furniture by ETEL and Minotti, along with an art collection including works by Manolo Valdés and Carlos Cruz-Diez, reinforces the cultural narrative.
The renovation included structural modifications, a glass-enclosed wine cellar, and a custom kitchen with suspended Futuro Futuro hood. The result is a refined yet relaxed space, where Brazilian modernist references coexist with Miami’s beachside energy—an elevated retreat that reflects the family’s lifestyle and identity.
