What would you say the best thing about loft beds is? Most certainly, it would have to do with how space-efficient they are. They let you save a lot of floor space and use it for a variety of other things. One of the best uses for those spaces is to turn them into a workspace. Having a loft bed with a desk underneath is a great option for the kids’ room. They get to do their homework and then climb right into bed.

There’s a lot going on here. A lot of different functions and elements are put together like pieces of a puzzle. The desk is very cleverly designed with a pull-out extension and three small drawers underneath. There’s also additional storage as well as three open shelves.
Given the raw simplicity of this loft bed as well as the finishes and materials used here, the whole desk and bed combo has a chic industrial look, a style that could work for a teen’s room perhaps.
The bed is almost unnoticeable. The white frame disappears into the background and the way the storage cubbies are placed there allows for a very smooth transition between the two functions.
For the adults: bedrooms become home offices and vice versa.

Not sure if this is a tiny home office where the owner wanted to squeeze in a bed for power naps or whether this is also supposed to be a bedroom but either way the space is used very efficiently.
You only spot the desk if you look closely. It’s placed in front of the window so it takes full advantage of the natural light and the ladder disguises it pretty well too.
