Clean Lines, Smart Comfort: A SĂ£o Paulo Duplex Made for Modern Family Living
Architect Karina Passarelli of Studio KP Arquitetura reimagined this 350-sqm SĂ£o Paulo duplex as a spacious yet intimate retreat for a young family. With its double-height ceilings, bold architectural gestures, and layered textures, the apartment seamlessly blends modernist clarity with cozy elegance.
At the heart of the home, a sculptural glass-top dining table anchors the open-plan layout, framed by marble floors and warm wood wall panels. The adjacent living area feels casual yet curated featuring modular cream sofas, colorful area rugs, and playful seating like the iconic striped lounge chair.
Passarelli’s design strategy embraces contrast: soft textiles meet concrete textures, while a neutral foundation allows vibrant accents and greenery to shine. Thoughtful lighting, bespoke furnishings, and integrated home tech elevate the apartment into a fully modern space tailored for stylish, everyday family life.
