Rustic DIY nightstands made out of wine boxes

When you have a restraint budget you often have to find ingenious solutions for getting what you want without spending too much money. Some compromises are needed but, as it often turns out, with enough imagination and creativity, they end up being more than you have hoped for. For example, if you don’t have the necessary financial resources to buy the fancy nightstands you want, you can make some out of wine boxes.

It’s an extremely simple project and, at the end, you’ll have some lovely and quite charming nightstands for your bedroom. In this case, these wine boxes were simply stacked one on top of the other, stained, and placed next to the bed. So all you need to do if you want to make your own version Is to find some discarded wine boxes, stain them by applying two coats and letting them dry for about three days on balcony on in an open area and then just place them next to your bed.

The nightstands have a rustic look and their roughness is quite charming. If you want to make sure they are secure you can also use either glue or nails to attach them to each other. Also, you can get creative and use different colors of stain, maybe even create a pattern. You could also use paint in your favorite color but the texture and the effect will differ.{found on jacquelynnicole}.
