Christmas décor ideas from Denmark

Even though Christmas is one of the most popular holidays and it’s celebrated all over the world, there are variations when it comes to small details regarding the decorations and the rituals. They differ from country to country and from person to person. Let’s take a look at a Danish home that has been decorated for this particular holiday and see what it brings new to the table.

As you can see in the pictures, the house is not overly decorated. There;s a small Christmas tree that doesn’t look very imposing. Still, it’s not about the tree itself but about the symbol. It’s a way of bringing some freshness into our home during this cold season.

The Christmas tree has colorful decorations and it’s not too different from any other tree. The rest of the house has also been decorated in the same spirit. There are stars and wreaths hanging on the walls and windows and the home looks festive even though the decorations are simple.

It’s a residence somewhere at the limit between minimalism and tradition. I personally like the pendant that reminds of a giant show flake. It’s very Christmasy and it’s also something that could be used during the rest of the year. Small branches have been spread throughout the house and they really help create that warm and seasonal atmosphere that we expect to see during Christmas. There’s also a fireplace but not the traditional type.{found on bobedre.dk}
