Tiny Auro Cabin Blends Efficient Living with Chilean Natural Beauty
Designed by TRAWA Arquitectos, Tiny Auro in Puerto Varas is a striking example of space-conscious architecture set in an extraordinary location between Lake Llanquihue and the Calbuco volcano. Wrapped in black cladding and capped with a steep gabled roof, the cabin’s compact form blends with its forested backdrop while drawing in natural light through generous windows.
Inside, every square meter is used with intention. The lower level integrates a kitchen, dining space, and lounge into an 18m² open layout. A mix of matte black cabinetry, wood-paneled walls, and efficient lighting creates a modern yet warm interior. Despite the size, the cabin offers full amenities, including a bathroom and a lofted sleeping area accessible by a sleek steel staircase.
The outdoor deck extends the living space, encouraging guests to enjoy the surrounding wilderness. This it’s a model of micro-living where thoughtful design meets immersive nature.
