Modern Mediterranean Simplicity: Santa Ponça Twelve Villa in Mallorca
Located in the upscale community of Santa Ponça, Mallorca, the Twelve Villa blends Mediterranean character with contemporary clarity by Jaime Salva. Surrounded by lush vegetation and designed for both locals and international residents, the house sits on a generous 1,000 m² plot.
From the beginning, the architectural vision focused on strong geometric lines and a design that could be drawn and recognized instantly. This clarity is paired with carefully selected local materials: SantanyĂ dry-stacked stone, Balearic grey limestone, and warm wood accents that soften the white cubic forms. The result is a clean and luminous structure where form follows function.
Large openings and covered terraces foster cross ventilation and connect interior spaces with the surrounding landscape. Sustainability was built in from the start—with strategic solar orientation, thermal insulation via SATE, and passive shading that minimizes summer heat. The interiors, styled by Marga Comas, reflect this calm material palette, allowing art, texture, and curated pieces to stand out without clutter.
Twelve Villa is a clear example of how simplicity, when done well, delivers both elegance and function in a Mediterranean context.
