Quartzite, Brass, and Bespoke Touches Define This Warsaw Apartment
This 66 m² apartment in Saska Kępa embraces the modernist and Architect Dawid Konieczny reconfigured the original layout—two small bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a living room with kitchenette into a spacious plan that maximizes light and usability.
The living area now benefits from western exposure, the bathroom was expanded, and the former living room became a bedroom with extensive storage.
Oak flooring, stained oak cabinetry, and Sandalus quartzite in the kitchen, paired with beige microcement and Silver Roots quartzite in the bathroom. Subtle brass and copper details, hammered wardrobe handles, and bespoke furniture designed by the architect add tactile richness. Every detail is intentional, from the sculptural wash basin material to the large leaning mirror in the bedroom, reinforcing the balance of simplicity and craftsmanship.
The furnishings blend bespoke and iconic pieces, including a Charlotte Perriand stool for Cassina and an armchair by Vincent Van Duysen. Contemporary art and design accents, such as censers by Jan Garncarek, paintings by Agata Hecman, and custom metal elements by Łukasz Friedrich. The result is a calm, detail-driven space that reflects Warsaw’s design heritage while offering modern comfort.
