Layered Color and Interior Harmony in a Dreamlike Apartment by Bianca Rieg
At CASACOR Santa Catarina 2025, architect Bianca Rieg presents Estar de Encantos Deca, a 95-square-meter apartment-style installation that blurs the line between design and emotion. Set within Brazil’s largest interior design exhibition, the space channels intimacy, nostalgia, and bold storytelling through color, texture, and layout.
Inspired by the theme “Sowing Dreams”, the project explores how interiors can reflect personal narratives. From a chipped porcelain tureen inherited from Rieg’s grandmother to handcrafted lighting and reinterpreted vintage furniture, every detail is meant to resonate on a human level. The apartment-style layout flows naturally from a dramatic 10-meter entrance hall to an open kitchen and integrated living area. It fosters conversation, reflection, and pause.
The design fuses maximalist cues with a soft retro sensibility. Cotton wallpaper on the ceiling, jute-thread sconces, and red-striped Louis XV armchairs stand out against a balanced palette of sky blue, earthy tones, and vibrant reds. Emotional design drives each choice. From vintage references to the flexible lighting system, everything is tailored to mood and sensory comfort.
Technological touches, like Deca’s touchless faucets and modular sinks, are discreetly integrated to maintain the poetic feel. Sustainability also takes center stage with upcycled materials, water-saving fixtures, and restored furniture shaping a responsible design narrative.
