A Brazilian Apartment Where Warm Wood Defines Every Room
Designed by FRS Arquitetura, VB Apartment is a 255 sqm residence in Salvador, Brazil, tailored for a couple entering a new life phase. With the children moved out, the apartment was reimagined to accommodate family gatherings while maintaining an open connection to the ocean views.
The layout removes unnecessary partitions, creating a continuous flow between living, dining, and balcony areas. Original openings frame the coastal landscape, enhancing daylight, natural ventilation, and thermal comfort.
Key materials like Nogueira wood unify the interior through paneling and joinery, while limestone and marble surfaces provide contrast and texture. The palette is softened with natural fabrics and complemented by carefully curated modernist furniture and artwork, adding a personal and timeless layer to the space.
