Outdoor Bar Designs That Make Late Summer Parties Irresistible

A summer party has to be outdoors or otherwise you don’t get to enjoy the beauty of this splendid season. Also, an outdoor summer party wouldn’t feel complete without a bar. It’s the piece that makes the party feel unique. Of course, when we’re talking about an outdoor summer bar we don’t necessarily have in mind anything fancy or extravagant. It can be something as simple as a table beautifully decorated. In fact, you can make one yourself. Here are some great ideas.

Here’s a simple idea. Just take a table from your patio and put it in the garden or anywhere else you want to hold the party. Then take out a nicely framed mirror and use it as a background image for the bar. It will reflect the nature and it will give you something nice to look at while you’re getting another drink.

For the bar you also have to have in mind the colors. Given the fact that it’s a summer party, you should use bold and vibrant colors. So pick up some colorful glasses, plates and cups and arrange them nicely on the table/bar.

Be creative and dare to come up with ingenious and original ideas for the outdoor bar. For example, this one has a very interesting base. It sits of large wheels from two bicycles fixated onto a metal frame. The top is made of wood and it can be simply attached to the base.

You should also take into consideration the décor. For example, if you’re planning on placing the bar near the fence or under a tree, you can hang small planters and flowers or you can make paper lanterns to go with the décor.

Opt for a rustic design and make a nice old-fashioned stand. A popcorn stand would definitely attract your guests and you can make it out of wood and you can use wheels or barrels for the base. Keep it simple and rustic and you’ll definitely have a charming party.

If you’re not a big fan or long or large tables, you can also choose to have more than one. This way you’ll be able to better organize the drinks and everything else you have planned. The tables don’t even have to match.

This might be a small outdoor bar from what we can tell from the picture but it seems quite well planned. The shelf provides useful storage for the ice container that keeps the drinks cold and the top is large enough for trays, bottles, glasses and even for some lovely fresh flowers.

A cart or a mobile serving table/bar would also be a splendid idea for an outdoor party. This way you get to easily move it around and to make sure all your guests have everything they need. It’s perfect for pool parties but not so great for garden events.

On a patio or covered deck you can be a little more inventive. You can bring out some of your old furniture and put it good use. A shelving unit would be perfect. Put a table in front of it and you get the perfect outdoor bar.

Here’s a similar type of design. It’s a nice bar with what seems to have been a desk and with a nice suspended shelf for glasses. The shelf from underneath is the perfect shaded place where you can keep the bottles and the ice bucket.

If your priority for the party is to always have cold drinks for your guests, then here’s an idea: take out your old tub and fill it with ice. It might not look very fancy but it’s fun and it’s very practical. It’s perfect for large parties with casual themes.
