How To Decorate A Picture Frame With Rope
Rope is one of those things that’s just tempting to buy only to have for potential future projects. If you feel the same way you might already have most of the supplies needed for this farmhouse project.
What we need
- Wooden frame - Rope - Silk ribbon - Pink acrylic paint - Paint brush - Beads - Scissors - Hot glue gun
Let's Decorate A Picture Frame With Rope
Glue rope onto the edge of the frame: The very first thing you need to do is take one end of the rope and glue it onto the edge of the frame. Start from a corner so you get a nice and clean line around the frame.
Transition onto the front of the frame: Without cutting the rope, once you’ve completed a ring around the edge you can transition onto the front of the frame. You’ll start in the same corner as before.
Continue on the other three sides and add more rows of rope until you cover the whole surface. When you reach the final bit cut off the excess rope and secure the end onto the frame with more hot glue
Make two small rope coils: Use a bit more rope to make two small coils. Just coil the rope around itself a few times and make a sort of half-sphere shape. It doesn’t need to be perfect. Cut off the excess rope and glue the end.
Paint the rope coils pink: All you need to do is paint the two small rope coils pink using your paint brush. Once you’re done, set the coils aside and let the paint dry.
